My lifelong dream. Travel to Mongolia. I dream of the time that I step off the plane and find myself in the wide expansion of Mongolia. I want to experience the nomadic life and live in a yurt with a mongolian family and deffinatly share my experience with music with them.
People doing this are also doing these things:

was travelling thru china and tibet and met many mongolians. just read a bio of both genghis and kublai khan, and saw “Mongol” with asano tadanobu. it’s whetting my appetite to travel to mongolia. to this end, i must learn how to ride a horse and eat goat brains.
wow, I must admit I love planning trips. Not just your normal “Let’s go to Paris” trips, but one that have adventure and craziness written over all it.
I was chatting to a friend yesterday. She is half way around the world in Chicago. And actually, I don’t really know her that well, we randomly met while we were in Granada, Spain, earlier this year. Anyway, all that is irrelavent.
So, she is on her Summer break, and Mongolia turns up in our conversation. The general, very loose plan, is to rock up, hire a couple of horses (I figured instead of Hertz, there would be a stable at the airport, hiring horses? :P) ride up and down the valleys, across the desert, into rivers, and once we were both tired, knock on someone’s gert and they’d invite us in.
Ok, so the plan still needs work, but hopefully, maybe, we’ll be there in a couple of months, maybe less if we can get things sorted out … wouldn’t mind seeing the Naadam Festival.
