How to get a tattoo with my husband

"It was awesome! Not once but twice!"
How I did it: We deceided to get matching tatts about 9 years ago and had the first ones done 7 years ago as a kind of betrothal gift to one another before our handfasting. Mine is on my left foot and his on his left shouldercap. Since then all three of my girls have gotton the smae tattoos and now it is like a family crest;)
The second time it was our anniversary and it was a last min idea- Dare designed it in the car on the way to the tattoo shop:) it is a little tribal butterfly. We picked on each other where we wanted it.. he chose on my right side of my belly above my hip in the curve of my waist and I chose for him to have him on his hipbone:)
The tribal butterfly represented the butterfly that helped us pick the location to build our little cabin:)
Lessons & tips: can't.. just do it:) though do try and remember this is permanant... in case the relationship isn't:(

it’s not the best picture but then taking a picture of your own back does take some talent and flexibility to twist like that. So that said, not the greatest pic but here it is. (I do want to add some color eventually)

I’m kinda bummed that it wasn’t done with Matt, I know he wouldn’t want something that matched. I think the next ones should be our wedding bands. We’ll see what happens. I like the new one though. :)

I’m gettin it between my shoulder blades. It’ll be about 3-4 in. wide and 4-5 in. tall. I’m SUPER excited. Let me know what ya’ll think. Should I go with a different design?

on the next one I’ll be getting. I’m getting a custom drawn cross between my shoulder blades and a verse in hebrew underneath it. =) I’m uber excited about this. Woohoo. I’ll probably get it when I go home in October. Can’t wait.

get one soon. Matt got a new car and I want another tattoo. We’ll see how well that goes over with him. LOL Probably not so good. But I’m getting one! On my shoulder or the middle of my back, upper not lower, I do not want a tramp stamp. We’ll see what I get, I’ll be sure to include pictures.

I went in our bedroom one day to clean up after my husband had been home a few days from having his wisdom teeth cut out and found a little note book with drawings in it. One was of a flower with my name beside it. I loved it right away, it was beautiful. So thats what I’m getting for my next tattoo, only I’m replacing my name with his. And eventually I’ll put our childrens names below his. And all this after I swore I would never tattoo a mans name on my body. But I love him with all I am. He’s my world.
