decorate my house with unique, visually interesting, functional objects.

it’s really cool…and I love using candles for light instead of electricity…it’s much softer and keeps utility bills down too! It will be great in my new kitchen or the downstairs bath when I get everything together to decorate.

I love unique things…I want a home that is very functional…and that really reflects ME and my family…not what is ‘in’ at the moment…because that is so unimportant!
I love using candles for lights and am always on a search for interesting candle holders of various sorts…also interesting storage options…like neat little accent tables with hidden storage, etc.

Found these glass shelves at Home Depot - meets my criteria for unique, visually-interesting, and functional objects if hung in the traditional way. My fellow team member warned that they could become just another set of dust catchers - and I can definitely see his point, especially if it ends up being filled with knick knacks.

I think the whole scene needs a splash of color, perhaps a vase of flowers and an array of votive candles in unique, visually-interesting and functional candle-holders on the shelves—just for starters. Suggestions welcome!
