Would be fun 12 months ago

I’ve read more of his books than any other author.
I have also seen a number of movies based on his books.
I love the detail that he uses and the care that he uses in character creation. I would love to meet him, if only for a book sighning or something of that sort.

I worked a few times for a writer’s wife who is friends with King. I never see them anymore. That was my last connection. . .unless I write a novel that is so good he wants to meet me. . .

This Is One of My Dreams 17 months ago

After blogging in my journal related to this … I realized I should officially make it a goal.

Journal excerpt:

”... I have said since I was little that I wanted one thing: I want to live like Stephen King.

This does not mean I want to BE the man himself. I just want to achieve what he’s achieved in a certain sense. Stephen King appears to have a nice family and a nice life, after having had a challenging childhood. He writes things that people in high-minded literary circles don’t want to admit they like or respect but which they DO like and pretend not to respect. Despite writing in a “trash” genre, he is one of the best selling authors of all time (read: one of the most heard untraditional voices). He is famous, but largely invisible. He appears dorky and intelligent, and darkly kind and intriguing.”

That would be pretty neat…I’ve been reading his books forever, can’t exactly remember when I started….even just seeing him at a book signing would be awesome!
