30> I suffer from Sleep Paralysis
When this first started to happen i managed to convince myself that it was all a rather scary and horrible dream. All i knew was that I woke up terrorfied, completly unable to move or speak until i either woke up fully or went back to sleep. It was only after it began to happen on a more frequent basis that i realised that it wasnt a dream and for those few seconds, usualy between 30 seconds and a minute, that i was in fact awake but paralised. It still scares me when it happens but thankfully it doesnt seem to happen as much as it used to
29> I can wiggle my ears
Either both at the same time or independantly. Wooooo! Go me!
28> * I wear my heart on my sleeve*
But I would rather take the chance than live in regret of what could have been. Means that i get hurt easily i guess, but im strong despite that. You have to be when your a dreamer like me. I guess im just a romantic at heart, i always want to see the best in someone and when i fall in love i fall hard and fast.
27> I always have a song stuck in my head
I often find myself wandering round humming to myself, or tapping along to a beat in my head. Friends and strangers comment on it all the time. I guess i look a bit crazy.. but what the hell… as long as im having fun right?
26> I love the 80’s
From the movies and music to the god awful fashion… ok well maybe some of it i will give a miss. ;) I was born in 81 and so the cartoons are a big memory for me; Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, Thundercats, Care Bears, Ewoks, Captain Caveman, Danger Mouse, Dungeons and Dragons, He man and She-RA. I love 80’s movies too; Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Bill and Ted, Dirty Dancing, Labyrinth, the Goonies, Neverending Story, Ferris Bueller, The Karate Kid and of course movies from the brat pack like Pretty in Pink and The Lost Boys. The music; Blondie, Minor Threat , The Clash, Misfits, The Specials, The Selecter, Bad Religion, The Ramones, Madness, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Guns N’ Roses, The Cure, Killing Joke, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Jam, The Smiths, Tears for Fears…. i could go on…. but i think you get the idea ;)
25> I hate hate hate bananas
Yucky, horrible, yellow mush! I have my reasons ;)
24> Ive never broken a bone
God knows how though, i was the most accident prone kid i know. I did however end up having 11 stitches in my face when i was younger due to an unfortunate accident involving my face and the metal part of a cupboard. Still to this day i have a gap in my right eyebrow.
23> I have my own theme tune
But dont ask what it is because i will never tell. Sufice to say when out with a group of my friends, if one starts singing it they all do, this is complete with jazz hands and much embarrisment on my part… but secretly i guess im quite pleased that they think enough of me to make me a silly song up ;)
22> My freckles all go in triangles
Yes im aware that sounds strange, and therefore makes me wierd for mentioning it, but they do. Im like a human dot to dot or something to that effect. In the sun they come out across my nose and cheeks like a little girl. Actualy ive not done so bad concidering you can hardly put a dot between my mothers freckles.
21> I love period dramas
Much to the amusement of my friends, and the astonished looks i get when i admit this to the general populace, i adore period dramas. Put me in front of a Jane Austin book or movie and im completly enthralled. Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility are a few of my favourites. English Literature was a favourite of mine at school and i can remember doing pride and prejudice and just falling in love with the faistiness of the characters, especialy if you consider the period the book was written in and how women were perceived at the time. Jane Austin was a writer way before her time
