Next step – vegan. I love knowing that i am making such a big difference in the world and directly saving lives and the environment. This is the best choice I have ever made.

About one and a half years now. I don’t feel any desire to eat meat and I actually have nightmares in which people force or trick me into meeting meat. They’re pretty much the only nightmares I currently have… Weird. But also good!
1 whole year for me too!! and now im slowly working towards veganism.
my main reasons are environmental.
Hands down best change I’ve ever made in my life. It’s the way everyone should eat. I feel so much better.
I wish I was a vegetarian, so the environment doesn’t have to suffer. Alas, I have no will to cook. I’m married to a chef who knows his way around a pork roast. It’s so much easier to just stuff my face. However, whenever possible, I do insist that he buy free-range and all natural meat. It’s the very least I can do, but the guilt still gnaws at my bones…
hey! ive been a veggie for 1 whole year and its tottaly worth it! after the first few months you dont even crave meat anymore.. im still suprised i got through thanksgiving last year! i feel healthier and have dropped 5 pounds! its great
I’ve wanted to do this for quite some time, for several reasons. I’m going to get a few books about becoming a vegetarian and I’ll see how it goes.
make sure you don’t let your health suffer.i had aneamia and quite possibly still do so make sure you have a good iron intake.
also be prepared to answer questions like ‘why’ and ‘where do you get protein/iron/ blah blah blah’ and ‘dont you miss meat?’
I was a vegetarian for a year, but I kind of went back to eating meat…I didn’t want to, but it just got difficult. I could definetely not eat meat, except that everyone around me eats it, and it’s really hard to avoid at big family dinners. However, I’ve gotten back on course, and have been a vegetarian since ‘05. I do eat fish pretty often, because it is really healthy. But I mostly depend on protein from soy and nuts.
p.s. eat organic food, too. it’s soooo much better for you than that pesticide-sprayed stuff. and did you know—organic food is the fastest growing food industry? Hooray!
