Live somewhere other than Alabama

The move to somewhere else other than Alabama was only somewhat worth it. Reality sets in tho, and you find yourself struggling financially. Atlanta, Ga is not a cheap place to live compared with anywhere in Alabama and found that i enjoyed Atlanta as a visitor more than i did as a resident of..and once i moved back home i now enjoy ATL as i did before..not working 2-3 jobs just to make it. Im only 90 miles from there and can visit easily..so no big deal. I think Al is backward, but visiting Atlanta and my many friends there,keeping in touch via the web at other times keeps me connected and i don’t feel terribly out of the loop.

Lately I’ve been so depressed here.. I want to leave so much.

This an easy one I was born and raised in Boston so it was pretty easy to live outside of Alabama now my new goal is to move from Alabama I really don’t like it. I have been here 8 years and that is 7 years and 364 days to long!

16 years after leaving AL, 12 if you don’t count college, I’m now adding this item right before moving back! But I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend the last 10 years in New England, and my goal after spending the next 3-6 months regrouping is to move on, possibly to yet another part of the country.

Anyway, i salute those who want to move; i would be a nervous wreck if i’d lived there all my life.

No matter how much you hate Alabama, she will never let go. I’ve lived in other countries and other states, and to this day everytime I drive into Alabama I feel at home. I’ll always becoming back to Alabama.

I was ready to get out when I was there, but it takes leaving Alabama to understand what you’re missing. This is home, and it always will be.

My whole life I dreamed of the day I would get out of the sticks of ALabama. When I finally did, I gained 100lbs and got really depressed! I got to go back for 2 yrs and loved every min. of it. You just don’t know what you have until its gone. I never saw how pretty it was until I came back! I miss it right now! I will forever miss ALABAMA! I hate that my husband dragged me out of there. THe pay SUCKS! Living is CHEAP! LOTS to do!! I miss ALABAMA!

Food is better here, but I miss sneaky pete’s and milo’s.

Looking to move to SC for grad school…..it’s a start.

I’ve never lived in Alabama…never even been there in my entire life, so I don’t really know if it’s worth it or not…

I’ve lived in 4 states other than Alabama. AL is nice and all, but personally I like the Pacific Northwest the best.
