Set-up a scrapbooking area in my house

I added the last item to my scrapbooking room last week. It is a storage cabinet that all my tools and albums, etc. can be put in that is easily accessible. I am very pleased with this room!

I’m so happy that I got the Cropper Hopper off ebay! It is a fantastic paper organizer and stores neatly away under my scrapbooking table.

I discovered a great workstation that can hold 12×12 size paper. It is a plastic container with a clear lid and hanging files. It is portable or it can be put in a rolling cart that can be rolled under the table. Sounds perfect to me! Problem is locating a supplier to ship to Canada.

I got a really good buy on a “tub” style chair which I added to the room. Also got a matching foot stool which opens and can hold magazines, etc. I love it!

I am pleased with my new scrapbooking room. I have hung my aunt’s quilt on the wall, put up “cubes” which hold a few of my collectibles, and hung some of my photos. I got great frames at WalMart for a reasonable price. They are black (which matches the cubes) with cherry wood mats. I just need to hang the curtains later this week. After these details are taken care of the only thing left will be to get some sort of storage unit for my scrapbook supplies.

Ok, the room is now completely painted and the mouldings are up as well. It looks great! Hubby hung the wall mounted tv stand and set-up the tv and receiver. Just waiting for the guy to come and hook it up. Picked up my table at Staples this weekend and also found a great stool as well. The stool is a good height for scrapbooking. I am working on getting everything put back in the closet. The new shelves that my husband built are giving me so much additional storage space!

Okay, this past weekend I got the walls painted two coats and the ceiling and closet painted one coat. To complete the painting I need to do the corners of the closet and the ceiling another coat. Then I will paint the closet doors and the entry door. It looks great! I think I’m going to really enjoy spending time crafting in this room.

This week I need to disassemble the bed and take it to the basement. I have plans to paint the room this weekend. My husband is constructing shelves for the closet which will allow me to better store things.

I called the Salvation Army yesterday and found that they will accept used furniture in about a month after they complete renovations. Can’t wait to move the bed out and get started on this project.

I chose a neutral, light color for the room. I figured a light color would be better for working in. I have also dediced to hang a quilt my aunt made me in this room as an accent on the wall.
