grow a container garden

I double dug a raised bed last fall, put logs around it and added compost. I will be planting in it for the first time this year…..and that will be nice. But what I really want to do is try to grow edibles in containers. I like the decorativeness of it, and also being able to move them around.

My herbs are still thriving, although the basil is slowly taking over the pot. Next spring, I will plant them all in different containers instead of the same one :).

My herbs are very much alive and growing like ahem weeds! I’m really happy about this. My indoor plants are not doing as well, but as soon as the parsley gets a little bigger, I’m thinking of moving it outside where it can get more sun.

I have basil, oregano, and 2 kinds of mint planted (very kindly given to me by a classmate)... now I just have to keep them alive. If I can keep this container alive, I may try to do some vegetables in containers next spring.
