write good music

I consider myself a songwriter because, well, I write songs. My thing is, I’m not really satisfied with my music and I really want to expand it. Basically, I want to take my music (which you can hear at myspace.com/hipnox) and make it sound like Jesse McCartney but I don’t know how to.

I was getting ready for the day this morning and thinking about how great my future is looking when it came to me. It’s such a soft, pretty, melodious tune; finally, I actually got something that’s worth listening to!

I think the reason why I’m having such a hard and frustrating time with this is because I’m not writing the right music so I’ve decided to ditch all the stuff I was trying to write before and try to write choral music from now on. It might sound lame but I really love it and was in a choir for four years so I have a little bit of experience which will give me a bit of a head start.

I would love to be able to do this. I love music and I have made several attempts at writing it but nothing turns out well.
