This is actually just a subgoal of “writing a Wordpress widget”. I tried to authenticate with WSSE using PHPATOMAPI , but that didn’t work, although I used the password suggested on the web service setup page.
Besides that I think this API is pretty easy to understand. I just need to write the code, that’s all.

Ok, right now I’ve got my list integrated into my home page.
Other than all that XML parsing drudgery, it was pretty easy using TurboGears.
I guess that’ll have to do. I don’t think it’s useful enough in its current form to actually get anything done with it, so I’m putting off using it for now.
sort of like Flickr gives us the ability to do. I don’t know if it is possible for 43things, but I’d sure like to try.
Does the Atom API for creating an entry require a normal Atom entry submitted, or a 43Things entry object? In the latter case, I assume there are some minimal fields? An example would be nice…
Sort of like gmails notifer or others like it. It would hide in your window and let you know when you’ve been cheered. And then you can use your cheer ASAP.
anyone have a clue on how to do this?
Well, I’ve started making a web app I call SoftPlan, which is related to one of my other goals (stick to a schedule). In this app, you create projects and assign times to them to build a schedule. (Say, I want to work on SoftPlan every monday afternoon when my other duties allow) – so I figured it’d be interesting to mark which goals on 43 things each project help fulfill, and so, I get to use the 43 things API! Yay!
Well, using the API is pretty straight-forward – so the question that begs answering (and can still be stated as the above goal), is: What can I use it for? I do have an idea, of course, which relates to several of my other goals, so… more later! ;)
