today, I did 40 minutes of cardio and 25 minutes of weights and sit ups and other stretching type things. Pretty good you might say, for an amateur, ohhhh how wrong you can be, I over did it so much that my knee doesn’t work anymore, it’s dead, I’ve been hobbling since 7pm, and was told to shut up and sit down when I insisted that it was a very good idea to get changed and go to the flicks to see Superman Returns, except that I couldn’t move off the couch without looking like I needed Jakes extra leg. I should have seen it coming really, last week it’d been giving me some bother and could hear strange creaking noises everytime I bent it, but it’s not fair its hindering my fitness obsessions, damn you stupid dead leg!!!!
Oh yeah I might go to the docs tomorrow!

proper stint at the gym last night and managed 40 minutes before flaking out and nearly dying, my lord I’m unfit. I’m pleased to say though that my gym buddy is just as unfit as I am and did only the same amount as me. I love you Donna.

It’s a pay as you go jobby so that’s good for the non motivational among us, namely me. It’s also only a 10 minute walk from my house and my Pilates friend has joined with me. Let’s see if I actually stick to it, I’m going to start going twice weekly and if that doesn’t kill me, increase as I go along.

The dance school is closing for the summer, which means no more Pilates, unless I do it myself at home, but seeing as I have no self discipline I need to find something to go to. So I’m trying the whole Gym lark again, hopefully it will work. My incentive is to get fit so I can do some trekking once I get to India next year, plus the new toned body I’m aiming far will be a nice little bonus and hopefully I’ll get to kick D’s ass at badminton in the process.
The local school have a sparkly posh centre for sport with a nice gym aimed at local unfit folk just like me, so I’ve rang up for an induction, the other plus is that it’s really cheap, and has a pay as you go option, so I’m not tied to anything, they also do Badminton a lot cheaper and I also noticed trampolining, that sounds so much fun, I’m very excited about my plan, yay!
