How to meet green day

 "I met Tré Cool in Manchester!"
How I did it: I was coming out of H&M in Manchester (opposute the Arndale) and I saw this very familiar looking short guy walking past me in the crowd... It didn't take me long to figure out who it was, even though he was trying to remain incognito and was wearing a beanie and sunglasses, haha. I'm sad to say I actually started walking in the same direction and then his minder pointed me out, he turned around and smiled as if to say it was okay to come over, so I did and I said hi, hows your're stay going etc. He was so nice! He even complemented on how my shoes and bag matched, apparently it was the first time the band had been to Manc when it didn't rain XD He asked me if I was going to the show the day after and I said I was too skint for a ticket (he didn't know what skint meant, bless his cottons), so he asked me if I'd like to go on the guestlist! I was so shocked. I got two guestlist seats right at the front near the stage, and when he was looking in our direction I blew a kiss as a joke, you'd never guess it, but he caught it and blew one back! They were the best two days of my life, I swear to god, there's nothing like meeting one of your idols! : DDD

Well, I guess this was a cheat entry. Haha. I’ve already done this and it was a great and glorious moment in my life. At the time I had been a Green Day fan for eleven years and thanks to a personal hero of mine, Mike Dirnt, I had been playing the bass for six years. (This happened several years ago at a show in Virginia) NOW I’ve been a Green Day fan for fourteen years and have been playing the bass for eleven! My how time flies!
Anyhow, you know the story. “Who wants to get on stage and rock the fuck out?” “MEMEME” “Okay, you”. Rocked out, had a blast, and met my hero. Not a bad day at all.

They made me realize life, and that it’s too short to waste my time trying to please everyone else. I don’t need approval, I don’t care what others think of me. I am my own, and I am extremely proud. They made me realize that no one is perfect, and that I’m able to accomplish anything that I dream of doing. They were the beginning of a better me. I am an individual, with a very opinionated mind. Heh. :)
I want to meet them before I die. Oh, that’d just be so wonderful… :)
