I’ve successfully revamped my cosmetics and makeup purchases to be a bit more frugal and budget minded. Since then, I’ve decided to share some of my tips and finds on my blog: Bionic Beauty
Maybe some of those tips can help a few people out. :)

Clothing magazines are my bane, but a couple days ago I threw away one that I had gone through and folded pages of stuff I wanted…without ordering anything from it! And when I checked the mail yesterday I threw out the clothing magazine that had come before I even opened it. I’m so proud of me. :)
I’ve applied for a job at a couple of places in town, if I haven’t heard from them by Tuesday I’m going to the job fair they’re holding on base where I live. Got my fingers and toes crossed!

Being more frugal with purchases takes discipline, and this is a task that can be challenging and no fun. At the end of the day, I feel good about being able to do it when push comes to shove. But, I hate being frugal with purchases. That’s not my natural tendency; neither is it my desire.
I’m applying for a job next week, so I can start building up my poor checking account, and start a savings account for my after-graduation travel I want to do. I’ve been pretty good about shopping lately. I haven’t bought shoes or clothes since December, and the only books I’ve bought I used a gift card I was given to pay for most of it, which was the only book shopping I’ve done in ages. A huge feat for me! I did have to pay nearly $50 for some CDs, but my music teacher said if we don’t have them, we’ll fail the tests, because of the listening portions, so there was no getting around it. :/
