Not worth it!
Just not super impressed. Maybe it’s the state of my life right now. lol
I only went and missed it when it was on TV on Christmas Day. What is the point of all this new fangled recording technology if I never remember to set the little devil! Never mind, it will be on in the festive season next year…

is a 1939 film adapted from Margaret Mitchell’s 1936 novel of the same name. the epic, set in the American South in and around the time of the Civil War, starred Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Leslie Howard and Olivia de Haviland and told the story of the Civil War from a white Southern point of view.
it was awarded ten Academy Awards, a record that would stand for years, and has been named by the American Film Institute as number four among the top 100 American films of all time. it has sold more tickets than any other film in history, and today has become one of the most popular films of all time, and one of the most enduring symbols of the golden age of Hollywood.

I absolutely looove Scarlett, such a timeless character. Has the amazing confidence of Galinda from Wicked, yet is hella bitchy. I love her.

Old movies are the best. This one was a classic that everyone should see! the pictures that went through my head when reading the book came to life in this movie! There was so much magic in this epic film and it’s absolutely timeless. Some people complain that the movie was too long…but really when a movie is this spellbinding, the length doesn’t matter. I got the 4 Disc DVD Edition of GWTW for my birthday and I enjoyed ever minute of it. Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland…they were all brillianttt and I imagined Rhett, Scarlett and Melanie to be exactly like them! Sure, the movie took out some parts from the book but what movie doesn’t? it lived up to what I hoped to see and if you haven’t watched it…please do! but first read the book. Both movie and the book are masterpieces!!! :)
