Texas Lin is very grateful for the wonderful people in my life

Recently I met someone 4 months ago

who was interested in helping me promote children’s gardening projects. I put her card somewhere and forgot about following up with her because I was too busy doing what others told me was sensible instead of following my heart.

I’ll find that card today! :)

are becoming quite the rage this season! How cool is that?

Spring is finally here so we can start our gardens here in the wilderness. Garden beds are popping up everywhere. I am amazed!

It is a short growing season but everyone totally enjoys being out in the sun working in their gardens.

    UCC Community Garden Workday
The UCC Community Garden is in its second year and we are looking for folks to join us for work and fellowship and wonderful growth in the garden. Regular workdays are the second Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. throughout the growing season. Contact Cyndy Twedell (cyndy@uccftw.com or John Andrus (andrusfam@sbcglobal.net) to find out more about the UCC Community Garden.

Have no idea why I am here so far away from home???

Dallas leads the way 18 months ago

Community Gardens are becoming very popular in Dallas Texas according to the Dallas Morning News today.

Upscale neighborhoods are transforming barren city lots into lush green gardens.

I am excited to get back to this goal with renewed enthusiasm.

This gentleman digs “Russian fingerling” potatoes from his plot Wednesday at the Community Garden on the west side of Kalispell. He had unearthed two buckets of potatoes from seven small hills. Growers at the garden donate some of their produce to the Flathead Food Bank.

The Dallas County Master Gardener program is an educational and volunteer program offered by the Texas Cooperative Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System. It is open to people of all ages, regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, handicap or national origin. The program is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and extend horticultural projects throughout the community. These goals are implemented through the training and employment of local volunteers known as Master Gardeners.

The Dallas County Master Gardener program provides invaluable training and educational opportunities. Professional and amateur horticulturists, as well as persons simply seeking up-to-date horticultural information, can advance their gardening expertise, and gain self-satisfaction through volunteer efforts. The volunteer aspect of the Master Gardener program allows individuals to dedicate their time and talents to enhancing the quality of life for citizens in their community using the science and art of horticulture.

has been born. My God/Higher Being has given me a calling to promote spirituality, community gardening and eco-friendly living to others.

I have been ignoring him…totally worried about how I would survive. I have been living in the flesh and not prospering.

He has never dropped me. It’s time walk the path that has been designed for me as a light for others in His name.
