Eventually I will be able to help others all the time.

its is truley be selfless. You dont have to be rich and actually your considered a philanthropist when you give more than 30% of your income anually which is what i want to do.It amazes me how thankful people are when you donate to a charity you may think this world is evil but it all goes away when you get a genuine thank you from someone you dont even know and its one of the best feeling to know that someone wont go without and thats why i want to dedicate my life to it once i graduate college thats when i can really start giving.
my church is heavily involved in helping the homeless population…joining with that vision is what got me thinking of becoming a philanthropist…i enjoy seeing lives changed
I’m seriously not into money but I know it is almost impossible to make it in this world without money but if I ever become wealthy I would love to share my wealth with those in need and put my money towards a good cause. I really don’t need alot of money.
952 Is tired, and content.
When young, I would tell people who asked that I wanted to be a philanthropist when I grow up. Just a most pleasant way of saying that I wanted to be rich, but rich with a purpose. I wanted to effect change. I’m not motivated by the thought of hoarding money selfishly, I love to make things better. Well, I’m pretty much grown now and I’ve been working for a few years with private event productions. Mostly for fundraisers and non-profits. I didn’t make a ton of money from it, but I’ve worked with so many different philanthropies it’s mind boggling. I also volunteer and give a little bit of money to charities when I can. I should say that I’ve become a philanthropist, now to kick it into high gear my new goal is to “Be a Philanthropist”
I have lots of things I would like to donate to if only the Publisher’s Clearing House van would visit me. ;-)
Here is an easy way to start being a philanthropist:
Tell the world “I’ll do it, but only if you’ll help me do it”
“We all know what it is like to feel powerless, that our own actions can’t really change the things that we want to change. PledgeBank is about beating that feeling”
Usually, we think of philathropists as people like Bill Gates, Peggy Guggenheim, the Gettys or the Rockefellers - mega-wealthy people. But if we all think of ourselves as philanthropists - as people who can give something to make a positive difference in the world, then think how much better this globe and its residents will be.
