I’ve decided that I am for sure going for two or three weeks during the Summer of 2011 or over the Holidays after graduation in December of 2011. It’s impractical to try to go before then :(

How to go to europe"the best 3 weeks of my life... as of then anyway lol"
How I did it: i saved up a few thousands bucks, applied for a passport, bought a rail pass, bought a backpack, bought a plane ticket, and then flew to london to meet up with a friend who was already bumbling around over there. from there we just kind winged it. went where ever sounded good and booked hostels online along the way. we did 7 countries in 24 days. it took a lot of balls but i found that the more crazy stuff that happened, the more glad i was that i went. i was sooooooooooooooo scared to go on this trip but i have a lifetime of memories now that were worth 5 times what the trip cost.
Lessons & tips: go before you turn 25 so that you can save a ton of money on your rail passes. i went at age 24. barely made it! :) if you can afford it, budget 3 days for each city. you may decide u want to spend less time in some, in which case just move on. try to take night trains as much as possible so that you dont waste time on trains. study your language books while you are on trains and take advantage of other passengers to practice your skills! they may find it entertaining and you will learn soooo much!! yeah it is embarrassing but you will NEVER see these people again in life. go for it!

How I did it: I decided I wanted to go and I turned desire into reality by planning and budgeting and just making it happen. I made the definite decision to go 6 weeks before leaving, bought my flight to London then planned out a 3 week timeline. Then I worked my butt off for 6 weeks to save up for it. It costs a lot of money but the experience is eye opening and unforgettable and it was a nice escape from 'real life' for a little bit. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Joined the travel club at my school, they helped a lot with organizing fundraisers, plus they got us a great deal with EF Tours. I really didn't have to do anything, except raise money, everything else like transportation, food, hotels and tours was completely taken care of. Read how I did it…
How I did it: SAVE SAVE SAVE! I saved money for a year knowing my intention was to spend it on a trip of some kind. If you get in the habit of taking $100-300 out of your paycheck, you won't miss it. I found a great deal on plane tickets and took advantage of it. The internet is your best friend. Everyone asks me what travel agent I used to plan our trip. It was just me, my debit card and my computer. Make an itinerary and plan ahead. Read how I did it…

I went with a choir that was collected by a Fine Arts camp. If you can get in on a program like that, it’s definitely worth it. Host families are definitely better than hotels…you learn more culture and more language, and you make more friends. However, it costs a lot to go. Someday I think I’d like to go by myself or with a friend. If you’re younger, though, (I was in high school,) it’s great to go with a group.

It’s something i’ve wanted to do my entire life! My dad’s side of the family is from england (My great-grandparents are the only ones from there that i’ve met in person).
Europe has just about everything, in my opinion. From Camden Town, London to Zorbing. Plenty of amazing musicians come from there, some that have influenced me musically. Their accents are interesting too :D.
When i go i’ll probably end up staying there a while, and returning there on multiple occasions. iloveit!
Talked with my Norwegian friends today and there travels and adventures in south America makes me want to go to Europe. I need to start saving money for this
I fly out with one of my friends on September 25th to London! We’re going from London to Paris to Munich for Oktoberfest to Venice to Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, and Dublin!
More details to work out and 4 more weeks to go but the first flight is booked so I’m officially going!

I would love to be able to visit Europe one day. It’s so beautiful & interesting. I just got to save up enough money & build up enough courage to take that flight across the pond. :)
This is a bit of a cheat entry. I already have plans, tickets, etc. But, still, this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, so I’m happy to add it here.
