learn to surf in australia

Completely worth it (except for the squeezing into a wet suit part!Laughs) and thoroughly enjoyable. Our lessons were only 4 hours long (needless to say we weren’t actually on our feet for too long) and I would’ve loved longer lessons and more practice time.
This is something I would do if I lived anywhere near an ocean :)

Australia seems like such an obscure place to go to learn to surf. I could just go to Florida, or Hawaii, they would probably be much closer.

But perhaps part of the whole deal, for me at least, is visiting my uncle in Australia, and then doing something on my own there, unrelated to them. And learning to surf seems so appropriate. It’s a clearly defined objective, and I bet I can actually stand on that surf board, even as clumsy as I mightt appear to be.
