visit my family more

I’m going to stay with my parents this weekend and all the other members of my family will be around too. Very convenient!

I’m going to be going home for about 6-8 months while my hubby is out of town. I’m super excited! I get to spend time with my family! And it’ll be good for me since I won’t have Matt home to talk with and spend time with. YAH!!!

but this trip will be to recover from a surgery on my ankle. It’s my 3rd one in 3 years. =[ But I get to visit with the family from the 28th of Feb to the 8th of March. Pretty good time I think. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.

We’ll be going to OK first for about 4 days then heading to AL for about 10 days. I’m so excited, plus we’re gonna try and get the visitation changed while we’re there. Hopefully SHE won’t give us much trouble with it. I’m so glad we get to see everyone in one one trip. Stopping at Matt’s moms on the way down to see his dad. It’s handy having the family in 2 states now instead of 3. Although it would be ideal to have them all in 1 but I guess you’ll have that.

In October Matt and I will be taking a trip to Alabama to see Dawson and the rest of the family for about a week. Then I’ll head to Oklahoma and he’ll stay in AL for a bit longer. It’s been a while since he’s seen his family and he needs time with his son. I’m going to be going to OK only for the fact that my sister is getting married. Otherwise I would stay with Matt and Dawson. I miss my boy. =( I’m still excited though that we get to see the whole family in one shot.

again soon. But this is a trip I really don’t want to make. My Gpa may be having open heart surgery and he’s old and his heart isn’t as strong as it used to be so this may be a bad trip. I’m really scared but all I can do is pray and place it all in His hands.

I see them once a week probably. However, I don’t really work anymore, (which is pretty great because I still get paid) and I only live fourty five minutes away even during rush hour. It’s truly not that far of a drive to go see my parents… and my dog who I miss probably just as much as them. And my cousins I see probably once a month. That’s more that we’re all busy and can’t always find the time… because I was working more than I am now, and besides that I do have things to do around the house… I just don’t have to spend all my time holed up in my house. My family has a way of starting to become a hermit in old age, and I’d like to not have that problem. I need to get out more, and that includes seeing my family. Not that I’m old yet! I’m not! I digress.

with my family. I love going out to visit them and seeing how much my home town has changed over the years. Things develop and change so quicky, even over the six months since I’ve last been. Amazing!

I’m so excited! We’re going home. And I’m so glad that Matt’s going with me. But he’s gonna be going underway the day after we get back, so that sucks. But it’s only for a couple days. It’ll give me time to get us unpacked and get the laundry done, so bonus there. :-) Woohoo! Only one day and a W/U!

until the trip home. I’m excited Matt gets to go with me this time. The family hasn’t seen him since the wedding in Dec 06. But I’m kinda bummed because I don’t think I’ll get to see my buddy David. It’s been 2 years since I saw him last and that was only for a few minutes when he stopped by. Guess that happens though.
