Sad how long I procrastinated this. Got the oil changed, tires rotated and new wiper blades. They adjusted the brakes for free. Feels like I’m driving a different car. So glad to be able to stop chastising myself for the car neglect. Yippee!

The oil change shop is right next door to where I work and I have a coupon to get the oil changed & my tires rotated. I’ve been procrastinating this for about a year. The shame!!!!
RP is swimming through paper.
I just took the car to the corner Chevron station. Besides the oil, tire rotation and the hubcaps, I’m getting another smog test. The California DMV seems to have caught up with me, and I’m going to bite the bullet and register the car in California. I’m not sure how the insurance change will work, but I guess they will tell me.
The smog test this time seemed quite a bit more expensive than the other place. Oh well, it’s good money after bad, in any case.
I have an appointement tomorrow at 2. All i have to do is show up and it will magically happen (for $25)
Still have not done this yet. This goal is also holding me back on my “stop procrastinating” goal as well. Damn it!
Also, my car doesn’t have a timing belt, it has a serpentine belt…I had the guy on the phone with the auto parts store mighty confused.
I thought this one would be taken care of, no problem. Well, I guess I need to get on this. I had planned on fixing the timing belt along with getting the oil change. Now I don’t think I am going to wait, so that I just get this done and over with.
Kinda silly, but we need a couple softballs to smack outta the park and get the juices flowing. I have been telling myself to change my oil for a week now because before I know it I will be behind on it. Since I have to have a belt replaced, this will probably get done at the same time. Two birds, baby. Two birds.
