go a year without watching television

Last August I decided I would just stop watching television completelly, and I did! Granted it wasn’t too difficult because my family doesn’t really watch much of it to begin with, and we only have 6 channels, but it definitely was a good decision. It was hard to give up on Law & Order SVU and other shows like that, but I really felt that they were negitively impacting my life. I wasn’t bettering myself in any way by watching trashy shows, so I just stopped! Anyway, now I have a lot more time to do other things. I spend a lot of it reading, and although the books are pretty much just silly and pointless it’s not like it’s bad for me! I strongly recommend this! If you’re worried about missing out on the news, read the paper. 5 years ago
