Ehh…Lost my interest. I get the whole short and sweet thing, but there’s a whole legion of authors who do that now…and his content, his characters, are just not people I can relate to, or would want to relate to. Maybe someday I’ll get through a Hemingway book. But for now, there are other books I’d much rather spend my time on. The characters are just so sexist, and…hypocritical, and…insensitive…which is boring. No matter how many quotable little sound bytes there are in there. But that’s just me. The whole feminism thing has always been important to me, and especially lately, I’m bothered if what I read seems to contradict it. 5 years ago
