Technically we’re going to a resort/casino. But we are staying and we are partaking in their spa offerings. Can’t wait!
charmd79 is ready for the weekend!
I think spending the weekend at a spa sounds like a fabulous idea! I plan to reward myself with a treat like this one day.

Whenever my mother comes to stay for a visit him indoors and I try to have a weekend away together kid free. This time he totally excelled himself and booked us into a lovely hotel with a spa attached. We had a master suite and spent a wonderful full day in the spa having a full facial, a body wrap and an intensive full body muscle massage…yes I do ache today. We also go to use the steam room, hot tubs and lovely swimming pool. Unfortunately we didn’t get time to try out the sauna or the fitness room…maybe next time.

but most of the places I’m finding are day spas or hotels. I’ve seen a few in Arizona and California but I really don’t want to travel that far. Does anyone know where I can find east coast spas?

big one is still talking about this so I must start doing some proper research and saving up so that I can get something booked. I imagine that these places get booked up quite early on. Then we can start planning what treatments we’re going to partake, I’m already looking forward to a good massage.
Somehow i always get howful, horrible masseuses….and usually, by the moment that they’re done with me, i feel like i am just falling to pieces…..

Big one will be 13 next February and as a celebration of her becoming a teenager I’m trying to look at the positives of her pending hormone, head spinning, random acts of hostility etc etc I’ve told her that we will go to a spa together. Just the two of us. Me and her. She seems currently thrilled with the idea so here’s hoping that she’s still keen on the idea of spending all that time with her mother by next year.
Right need to go price it all up and start a savings plan.
The spa was great – I had a massage, pedicure, and manicure… and the facilities were excellent…however… one word of caution – make sure that you know the details of any spa and resort package—in particular the Paradise Pointe in San Diego – they are tricky and their main reservation operations promise things that the hotel itself does not… pretty fishy if you ask me…so we wound up paying for the additional spa services because reservations screwed up… I will be taking my spa dollars elsewhere from now on!
