the real thing to do is bring my lunch to work, whatever it is.
$3.00 buys a whole loaf of bread as opposed to a sandwich for $6.00.
eventually i would like to try making everything myself, but one thing at a time.

turkey sandwich, cereal for a snack, an apple.
bagel and cream cheese from home for breakfast.
Last week I managed to have breakfast at home, and take lunch on 3 of the days. It was great. It helped to get wherever I was going already having eaten, and surprisingly full and satisfied, instead of planning to eat when I got there (work, class, etc.)
I’m already thinking about tomorrow’s routine.
I’ve got to break the habit of buying lunch and snacks here at work. There’s a small cafe downstairs, and it’s independent and I’d like to support it, but don’t need to at my own detriment!
I bought some snacks and prepared lunches at the grocery store and I’ll start with those for now.
Not known as the healthiest snack, I think the poor maligned muffin can be improved and be a compact easy snack to make and take along. Also, this can save me $$ and calories.
I started with the most basic recipe (flour, butter, a little sugar, bk. powder, eggs, milk) and it came out fine. Next time going to substitutewheat flour, oil/butter, raw sugar, nuts/raisins.
