start a film production company

People always told me i should find a job in something i love. I love film, and to get to make one would be a life long dream of mine.
Have written one, now i just need to get it made

I really want to do this because making films is something i love, and i have so many great ideas that i think will turn out as some good pieces of work.

Any ideas/advice on how to get start up funds for a Motion Picture production company in the Washington DC area?

I need to know how I can trademark/copyright my production company

Camera?

I have a crappy 5 year old PC. I need a MAC if I get the HD cam I want. But my company is going to be digital, so Im thinking that I can get by with a good MiniDV cam that does low light.

Ideas

A Silver Production just our first project up called “The Guys” opening October 31st on Youtube. Its a web show with hilarious guys and girls. I havent yet came up with a plot of the show but I know itll be done before Halloween arrives.

I started a film production company with my cousin EJ! It’s called “Best Shot Productions”. Right now we’re doing some paid work in order to get some money to put towards more creative endeavors. All you have to do is go to your local clerks office and register your company name and it’s real.

How do you create a film production company?

Well, once I finish my screenplay, I’m planning on shooting it, which means I’ll need a production company.
