Ordered it from Amazon and just got it today! I’m going to start reading tonight or tomorrow, I’m pretty excited!

First Goal! 4 months ago

It’s slightly discouraging to see that ‘this goal takes seven years to complete’ (on average) on the sidebar next to this, so I’m going to ignore it.
I ordered this from the library and will hopefully get it soon to start reading.

Chapter one going well- 17 months ago

I am so thrilled- I’m better with every sentence, and the subject matter is of course, one of my passions!

Harry Potter in Spanish 17 months ago

I’ve already started working on my learn how to read in Spanish goal by reading Harry Potter, and then today I stumbled across this goal, which fits in quite nicely with the other.

Que divertido! If you can read moderate Spanish, you can do this! If ever you get stuck, pull out the English copy to help you along. It’s a lot of fun!

Got the book - 19 months ago

When this month is over I hope to treat myself to trying it out. Meanwhile, it is taunting me on my shelf. But I’m ready!

Spanish ... 20 months ago

I now have a student in my class who speaks Spanish only. I can talk to him but I have trouble understanding what he says. I can read Spanish but not on this level yet. However – I have high hopes. I’m pleased that the words I want to say to my student come to mind without much effort, and he understands me, so my Spanish is rusty but not gone, and I’m sure I can improve when I have more time to study and practice. Today a conversation, tomorrow Harry Potter!

If you know the books, and you know spanish decently (I’m not fluent by any stretch of the imagination, but I could get a point across if I needed to), you’ll be absolutely fine reading these books. second-hand book websites like half.com have them for pretty cheap, and they’re easy reads if you know them in English. Just grab your Spanish-English dictionary and leer!

i been reading the books in spanish since they came out, its not a very hard task for me to do since im a fluent spanish speaker (and reader), but i have to admit the only thing that is not helping me meet this goal is the publisher not releasing the last book in spanish already .. ITS MAKING ME ANGRY!!
