littlerien The Universe is just awesome.
I found a local crossfit gym that has free classes on Saturday! :D I’m going to check it out next week and see what it’s like. ^^

I had never heard of Crossfit before I started reading Nerd Fitness. I liked the fact that it worked muscles that you would actually use as opposed to endless reps of things like bicep curls. I don’t have the money to join a crossfit gym, so I’m going to try and do the exercises at home, using crossfit.com. Hopefully, I’ll be able to join a gym in the future because I want to make sure I’m doing the exercises right.
I love pushing my own limits, so I’m really excited to try this. :D
I’ve finished the begginners sessions and have a better idea of the basics (Lifting techniques etc)
I’m starting a journal to track progress, or lack of :)
A collection of excuses instructors collected from clients for not training…
It’s dark
I’m tired
I’m busy
I’m frustrated with my progress
I didn’t get enough sleep
It’s raining
I have an early meeting
I have an injury
I haven’t paid my fees
I don’t know how to do the exercises
I am not very fit
I haven’t done much training
My friend isn’t coming
I’m running late
My car isn’t working
I forgot what time it was on
I didn’t know it was on
My arms hurt
I am sore
It’s my rest day
I went to bed late
I have something coming up that I need to rest up for
I trained a lot last week
Next week is going to be busy
I don’t think I can do that
My alarm didn’t go off
I am going to train later by myself
Just 2 more minutes of sleep and I’ll get up
My training clothes are dirty
I’ll get there late, probably too late
I don’t have anything to wear
My chain broke
The dog ate my motivation
My girlfriend (boyfriend) needs attention
I live a long way away
(and my alltime favourite …)
I need to do some training before I go to training
Commit. Turn up. Be on time. Give everything. Get results. Be CrossFit.
I’ve found a bunch of people that do crossfit in Brisbane andfinished my first lesson/session this week.
I spent most of it with a broomstick learning the correct technique for deadlift, squat, and sumo deadlift, highlift or something that sounded like that before trying a session of 15-9-5 with a bar.
I’m going back for more
Crossfit is the most challenging strength and conditioning program I’ve seen.
I’ve started collecting/making some of the equipment (rings, paralettes, medicine ball) needed and trying to develop a good technique for deadlifts and starteed on the beginners program.
I started on September 18, 2007. Not counting “CrossFit Total” days, on which I did the APFT as a subsitution, I’ve completed 108 workouts-of-the-day.
I use my own dumbbells (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 pound pairs), kettlebells (35 and 53 pounds), jump ropes, the nearby track, and various other small pieces of equipment. Someday soon, I’ll buy a barbell with bumper plates. But, I work alone with no other instruction than the excellent videos on the CrossFit website. This has allowed me to get stronger while losing 46 pounds in 5 months.
I’m a CrossFitter, even though I don’t go to a gym. I just keep hitting the WODs as hard as I can and I inch closer and closer to elite physical fitness.

I plan on becoming a CrossFit affiliate, but I haven’t even done a WOD yet!! I’m already convinced this is what I want to do with my life even without having done a WOD yet. I am currently lifting weights 3xw. I will sneak in a WOD next week definitely.
