be fluent in sign language

I had some friends in High School who were deaf and I got pretty good at Sign Language! But since I graduated I have lost it all. I really want to learn it again and maybe be a translator. My boyfriend wants to learn too! This will be exciting. :]
I can’t wait!

I’ve spent 2 years at Gallaudet Univeristy, the only Deaf university in the world.

I love all kinds of communication…. And signing seems to call to me…. With my life in flux, (Mom just died, husband abroad, sister just moved in and has MS, etc.), I don’t know when I will be able to pursue it, but it is just so appealing to me….

so i started to take sign language more seriously this year in school, especially since i got a new teacher and i really liked her…well in the begining, but now she upsets me alot and its causing me to drift away from it unfortunatley. But i shouldnt let one thing like that effect another, but i do. so we need to work on that i suppose. but yeah. i do still practice, so its not like i am completely blowing it off..but yeah.

gonna be going to Gallaudet starting fall, so I think this goal might happen sooner than I thought.

i’m in a first-semester ASL class at the local community college right now. It’s a great class and the language is beautiful. i definitely want to learn more and wouldn’t mind someday being an interpreter…
