I have wanted obsessively to go to Tahiti for years, but my lack of funds stands in the way :( One day, hopefully!
How to visit Tahiti and stay in an overwater bungalow
How I did it: My girlfriend got word that she was going to meet her ship in Tahiti, so since her airfare was taken care of by her company, and I had some time off, we made arrangements to fly out a week early. I splurged on the over-water bungalow at the Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa (HIGHLY recommended), because "if you're gonna do it, do it right."
Lessons & tips: Take Starbucks VIA or some other GOOD coffee-making method, because much to our surprise in this French country, all that was available at the resort was instant Nescafe.
Also, if you use a travel agent, make sure you get vouchers for everything.
Go on Hiro's Boat Tours for swimming with rays and sharks! Awesome!

i first saw those on that sports illustrated swimsuit model search show (lame i kno, but there was nothing else on)during the last episode when the remaining 3 models went to an island and in the floor of their bungalow there was a clear part so they could see the water and the tropical fish! so i really would like to do that, stay in one of those.
...and relaxing. Very expensive, but worth every penny. Bora Bora is especially beautiful.
