plant a church

i’m not on site in stevens point, wisconsin and working with a leadership team to plant the church. GOD willing i believe come september this goal will have been accomplished.

Ok, so the high school pastor tat baptized me about three years ago moved to Bend, Oregon to plant a church.

He says there’s a place for me in his church, so that’s an other reason for my move, and I am very excited to go and help him out!!

This has been on the agenda for a while. Finally got a house in Port Melbourne, which is in the vivinity of where we want to start a church. Now can go about the business of seeding this community.

resonate published a list of recommended books for church planters. the books are recommended by brian mcclaren, andrew jones, jonny baker, etc.

yep, wanted to do this for a few years now, and finally God said, ‘go for it – now!!’

So I’m working on connections, locations etc. and wanting a launch date somewhere in 2006 or 2007.

thanks to my lovely wife i read this article today on “why shouldn’t you plant a church?” it’s a great article that offers a ton of encouragement.

I, or more accurately, a group of us started a church in Honolulu, Hi in 2002. We were looking for a public school cafeteria to begin but started in my house then moved to a nightclub (!) called Pipeline Cafe. It’s funny to see this “goal” on the same page as “get a tatoo”.
