This goal has had very little done to it this week. I guess I had better get my act together given that I am back to work on Monday.

and is entirely down to Nonna…............ It is the subsequent trips to the fabric shop that have led to this point. These things are 60cm by 70cm…....and there will be 6 when I am done. Not sure where I will find cushion inserts that fit.
and the messy one doesn’t look so bad today….... pity I couldn’t get decent light to snap it in.
I must be learning something because the second one is a hell of a lot straighter and neater than the first….... tomorrow’s job may be a lot of unpicking and re-sewing.
Voila! My first thing ever sewn by machine. It was hard. I had to re-thread the needle a bunch on times, rip out stitches, and I pricked my finger lots. It turned out pretty good except for the fact it is teeny-weenie. I might could have fit into it eight years ago. (which would make me 13)
But I learned some valuable lessons from this project. Leave room for seams! Do everything inside out so it looks right later. One piece of t-shirt fabric is not really durable enough for ties. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the construction of it. Not bad at all for a first project.
Jaysen took care of the sewing machine part. He has to mail it to me when I get my new address. Then I can figure out how to work it.
