We went to see Battle LA the other day for our anniversary. First time I have been in a theater in well over 6 months. Surprisingly, there was no chair kicking, no chit chatting, no annoying behavior whatsoever by my fellow moviegoers. Maybe in the recession we are all so grateful to be able to afford a movie night out that we treat it with a little more respect? I don’t know what the reason is but it was my most pleasant theater experience in years. 2 years ago

You know, I wish I did this more often but the truth is I don’t really go to movies that much anymore because people are such assholes there. I guess that means I’m letting them win, but at the same time I can’t stand up to every douchebag in the theater. I do try to stand up to the really annoying jerks, though, when I go. 5 years ago

I am sick and tired of annoying moviegoers. Every time for the past year that I have gone to the theater, someone has ruined my day. Whether it’s reading subtitles out loud, kids kicking seats, or just people being rude, I am DONE with giving people nasty looks with no results and through with putting up with it. From now on, anytime anyone does anything to annoy me during a movie in the theater I am resolving to say something to them. I am usually very non-confrontational but this has gone too far. Maybe if people start saying something instead of just shooting nasty looks and being passive agressive about it, moviegoers will realize that the theater is not their damn living room. I hope there are people here that will join me in my resolution to stop being stepped all over in the movie theater and do something about all the annoying bastards who think they can get away with whatever they want. 6 years ago
