I’ve technically already done this. But it’s been three years since I drove a manual anywhere, so I’ve forgotten it already. It’s time to relearn!

on ebay for a car with roadworthy and registration, I’m also keen to learn how to ride a motorbike, I will do this after learning manual, I’d add it to my list but I’ve already got 43 things and haven’t achieved anything yet! Btw, I’ve got my eye on a Kawasaki ZZR250! I’ll probably get my l’s at the Honda riding school kinda near my house…
so i bought a 6 speed car but cant drive manual… quite a pickle huh? i still have my automatic which im trying to sell but meanwhile i want to learn to drive my new car. already tried 3 times and ive managed to get it going without stalling. woo hoo! but its a slow process that i would love to speed up.
Well, I doubt many people(if any, really) will ever see this, so here I am, ranting to myself about how much I need to learn to drive my dad’s car. Now then, my dad says he wants me to drive him to church… tomorrow.
....
Well, I’ve driven the thing twice. That’s good practice. The second time it only stalled 5 or 6 times in less than a mile, as opposed to the 15 or more times on my first try. Maybe tomorrow I’ll have better luck.
And there’s my permit in the related image box. I got it about 2 1/2 weeks ago.
...Better to learn sooner than later, I guess.
today and i did ok, stalled it a couple of times and need to do some work on my clutch work but hey, one down.
Greenaxe The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing
i passed the test like last month but i haven’t driven since then…i will forget to drive and i will be crap when i get a car…oh well you better watch out then lol
Learning how to drive stick has gotten me out of a couple jams actually, having friends get anialated and me being sober i have gotten people home safe many of nights. I recomend learning how just so that you can be safe if the situation arises.
I love manual vehicles it is more fun, keeps me awake cuz i have to do more things, and it always provides a good time when i am trying to eat and drive at the same time (i feel like i should have 3 hands for that :)
My first car was manual so i had no choice but to learn how to drive it around. It was pretty funny when my step dad was trying to teach me. I couldn’t get the hang of it for the life of me. I wouldn’t rotate my feet on the clutch and gas fast enough or at the right time, and i grinded gears so much i was worried the car would explode if it had to put up with me much longer.
So i get my license, i have it for a week and didn’t drive my car cuz i was scared to stall out in the middle of a street. In retrospect i owe actually learning how to drive it myself, to my friend sara. She didn’t want to walk home from my house and kept pestering me to drive. I did. I stalled out like 56 times in a four block distance.
But because I finally just did it and depended on myself I felt better about the whole thing. I didn’t even mind when i messed up a lot.
and like i said now i LOVE my stickshifts!
