OK, so I think I have a pretty good singing voice. It can be a little rough around the edges (especially when I’m out of practice from not singing every day.) I was always one of the lead sopranos in the high school choir. I’ve been told that I have a voice like a bell, like tinkling crystal. (Judge from that if you will—it could be great or hideous, depending on how you feel about bells and crystals… heh.)
Sometimes I wonder what I am capable of—what would my voice be like if I had ever gotten formal training? The purpose of this goal is to explore that idea. I would like to be able to sing some Italian arias (specifically O Mio Babbino Caro, or maybe “The Bell Song” from Lakme.)
