How to have a picnic in central park

"This was the most memorable picnic ever."
How I did it: I was already going to NYC to see a Broadway show (another one of my life goals), so I met up with a friend while I had some downtime and we went to Central Park to eat. The problem was, I was only going to be in New York for a day, and it ended up pouring rain the whole time. Also, since I took a bus there, I didn't have any picnic food, so we ended up just getting food from Wendy's.
I may not have had the most picturesque picnic ever, but eating soggy Wendy's in Central Park in a torrential downpour is a much more memorable and entertaining story than I could have ever hoped for.
Lessons & tips: Check the weather beforehand. :)
