speak chinese fluently

Hello everyone, I am living in taiwan, and I really want to improve my Chinese so that I can talk to native people fluently. Where should I start?

I’m currently in China b/c of my dad’s job so idk I’m learning it through school so one step at a time I suppose.

my chinese is at an ok level at the moment, though i’m a little rusty since i haven’t spoken since last summer which i spent in beijing, but i’ve just bought a set of pimsleur tapes, i plan to listen to one of the lessons everyday from now on

..i study chinese at university,i went to china on august,it was great,but i really want to speak perfect chinese!!:)
it takes a lot of time and patience,but i think i will do it!:)

sometimes i have to get my parents to speak in simpler chinese cuz my vocabulary is that of a 3 year old. it’s sad cuz i wanna be able to be comfortable and chat easily with the two people who have so much importance in my life. i am planning to take up chinese classes once i finish my uni studies.

What a good idea, even just half Chinese for a little while…
