"When I got the e-mail that I had passed, there was only one feeling: RELIEF!"

How I did it: I found out my school provided a free CBEST review session a few weeks before each test date. Although it sucked to go to school all day one Saturday, it was definitely an eye opener and very helpful. The material did not seem hard, but frustrating because I realized I didn't remember how to process many math questions-- even though I had learned how to do so years ago.

Lessons & tips: Get a Kaplan CBEST study book. It provides detailed, easy to understand review for the math questions, gives insight into what type of answers the reading section looks for, and even has a couple of essays to read through for the writing section. Take at least 2 practice tests, all 3 sections, to practice managing your time and seeing what you need help/practice with.

    I passed the Reading & Math easy. The overall score was high enough but i didn’t have enough time to pass the writing. So i have to go back and pass the writing section individually.
