take my own bags to the supermarket

I’m doing it. I started doing it because the supermarket I used to go began selling the bags instead of giving them away. Obviously I dind’t want to pay for them so a started taking my own. I also take a school bag.
Once a lady in the registor machine of another supermarket said that very few people do it and thanked me for being so considerate with the environment! I felt great with myself =)
I’m not taking this off my list, because it’s something that needs to be continued, not done once and that’s it.

I save plastic bags with all intentions of recycling them. But before you know it so many bags that I just cant take it and I wind up throwing them away. So I figure if I start keeping them in my truck instead of under the sink. I will have a better chance at reusing them. Every little bit helps to help save mother earth.

I usually do it when I go to small markets or smail chains but I dont do it when I go to super big malls or stores like Carrefour or Auchan.. I should do it but they give you plastic bags and it is weird when somone takes their own.. although I should start doing it. Even if I dont go buying food very often. I should try to convince my mom!
