I have been accepted as a transfer student at Coastal Carolina University. Hopefully, most credits will transfer and I will be starting out as a Junior-or as close as possible. I start back in September and I was so excited to get new information about orientation in the mail yesterday.

Enrolled in classes. I have one year left till I get my AA. I’ve been in school forever full-time, part-time. But moving a lot kills your credits when you transfer. (at one point I was a junior). This time I’m going to stay here until I get my degree.
- Utilize my existing 15 credits
- Study up on math for entrance/placement test
- Enroll in 2 year college this Spring
- Ease into it, 1 or 2 classes first semester
- Goal is Major in Building Construction, with minor in French
- Transfer to University for completion
IndieRose is headed to the Gym.
If everything goes well, I expect to graduate Fall 2009. I’ve been in school to long (I was getting my Certificate and Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising). My Bachelor’s in Fashion Merchandising is something I really look forward to having since I think it would give me a career boost and finally have a chance to work full time in Fashion. I’m a nerd and I love it.
I fell off track when shit hit the fan at home, I got kicked out (I wanted to go on a trip with 7 friends and the boyfriend, mom didnt like it, i didnt care!) and my boyfriend and I got our own place. It’s been 2 years and a thousand tears later, and I know what I want to do with my life.
I started out at Cal Poly Pomona, and I was placed on “Administrative Leave of Absense” because I failed to complete the last of 3 remedial math courses in order to stay enrolled. I said “Fuck you” and went on my merry way. I didn’t want to do communications, anyway.
Went to Los Angeles Trade Tech (great trade school, I must say) to look into the Fashion Design program and I took up Sign Language 1 for the hell of it … and I fell in love. I started at Mt. SAC in the Sign Language program and realized general ed. needs to be finished for me to go on.
Here was the hard part …. Intermediate Algebra AGAIN. I had to face the demon one last time and I DID IT!!!
I am about to send in my application to Cal State Northridge. Wish me luck. Graduation date: Winter 2010.
Wish me luck. I better have an engagement rign the second I get my degree, Matt.
BrittaP03 It is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
now, thirty some thousand dollars later, i still didn’t find a good job—like, one that looks for you to have a B.A. i loved studying though, every minute of it. suppose i’ve gotta get my M.A. next…
I’m 27 and want to do this ! no one knows I’m a college drop out. Does anyone of you knows any school in new york city who admits student as an undergrad which do not require any other documents but highschool diploma? I have not been to school for more thatn 5 years now and the least thing I want to do is to go back to my old school and get those grades !! It’s that and the experience I had from that school that only stops me. I have been working for more than 6 years now, three years ago, I transferred to a shipping industry and got promoted thrice which I consider as my greatest accomplishment, no one knows i dropped out of college! I am so willing to leave my job and get another one, I just need to finish my degree without the knowledge of my family because it would break their heart.
