Enjoy life as a swingin' bachelorette for as long as it lasts, giving the look of death to anyone who refers to unmarried women as old maids or spinsters. Oh, and I like cats. So deal with it.

i´m still unmarried, swining and cat-loving, but i have to admit here is a man in my life again. we are taking things very slowly, very much so. and i don´t feel like giving up on this goal yet, since it still reflects my attitude towards life…. we´ll see how it goes.

I think I actually did begin to get into this goal – but as sod’s law would have it, once I began to be ok with being on my own.. I met someone. Always the way, huh?

Anyway, the long and the short of it is that when I went away on my residential management course, I met someone there who I thought was special, and then as time went on, realised that it was more than him being special, but what we created was also special.

So 6 months on, I am now engaged and the wedding is booked for next year. As such, I now have to mark this done, but I am glad that I learnt (eventually) to be a swingin’ bachelorette, as when it was good, it was very good.

Oh, and I still like cats ;o)

another fun weekend (and its not even half way thro!)

Went for dinner with my sister on the friday night (I had been in London all day for business meetings), and then had a last minute second date with the boy from London (in a bar in Covent Garden) which was fun and very interesting as I was able to do the second date analysis (and being much more sober this time, my senses were a little more accurate!). I noticed that he is very handsome when he smiles, but bless him, he is a little bit more awkward generally than I remembered. Not horribly so, but it showed more this time (perhaps because we went for a wander around, and some of the things he said)However, while we havent exactly clicked and it isnt exactly love at first sight, he is nice and I like him.

Also, second date and I have also maintained my boundaries :o) We’ve had what I think is acceptable 2nd date touching, but no more than that.

And again he very nicely walked me to the tube and right onto my stop (even tho he was taking the bus home) so I took that as a good sign.

The funny thing was that in a tunnel in Charing Cross station I ran into an old university friend who I hadnt seen in years, but who I was so thrilled to see. It was so random, but great!

Today (Saturday) got up and went shopping again in Camden Market in this shop which I had seen last week and I bought this simply amazing dress. I have no idea when I will ever get to wear it, but my goodness, it is awesome.

So yes, I do like having a life, its making me want to move to London again, where its all SO much easier!

honestly, I have never felt like such a swingin bachelorette in all my life. Im tired and my feet hurt but I had one hell of a greeeeeeeeat weekend.

I was in such doubt about going on my date on Friday night, but I am very pleased that I did. He was a nice guy, it was a good bar, I was very drunk (drinking on an empty stomach = not good) and we were attracted to each other, but didnt do anything beyond snogging, so I was very pleased about that. It was fun, he walked me to my tube holding hands (prob for the best as I not sure walking a straight line would have been possible at that point!) and he texted me the next day to say we should go out again. So yes, all in all, happy about how it went :o)

Then Saturday, despite the hangover from hell, spent the day with me sis, shopping on Oxford Street and Camden Market having lunch and coffee, and then went to a show in the evening. Was fab. I bought a nice summery dress from the market, drank fresh coconut milk straight from a coconut, and generally had a great day out!

Got back home today at a reasonable time (given as per usual the train was replaced by a bus cos they like digging up tracks on Sundays) and am feeling really happy and on top of the world. Its amazing how one good weekend can do that.

So Im happy, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :o)

I went out tonight with a friend, Im going out tomorrow on a date and am going out on Saturday night with my sis to the theatre! Thats quite swingin’ enough for me at the moment!

hmm. Am a bit worried about this one, but I figure I just need to get my ‘first date’ in like soooooooooo long over with.

Anyway, he lives in London and is an investment banker. I havent met him in person but we have been chatting online for quite a while, and he seems alright. And yes, I have seen photos and he looks alright too! Im meeting him for early drinks at a bar in central london on Friday night, so I can make my excuses and leave if I get desperate.

ah well, itll be a story to tell at least! ;o)

I really do. A date with an eligible man, even if it doesnt go anywhere.

Im blatently going to have to start spending some time sat in bars unril I get asked out!! arghhhh.

am off out for a drink with a friend after aerobics. First time Ive been out for a drink with a friend for ages.

Must do this more as a swingin’ bachelorette!
