Make really hip cat furniture that doesn't look like cat furniture

I’ve done this…sort of. I bought a carpeted cat tree. It has brown trunk and branches, green “leaves” which are really platforms for kitty to sit on, and apples which dangle down. Also bought a nice scratching post that is modern looking, much more attractive than the kind you find in a typical pet store. I bought both items at MadCat in Madison, WI. They might have a website. I agree, most cat furniture is hideous. I would never put any of this stuff in my house for purely decorative purposes. Hope this helps some.
