Write a stage play

:D I have been working on this one for a little while now! :D Very worth working on. I’m writing a fifteen page play for one of my classes. So far I have two pages of dialogue and oodles and oodles of ideas! :)

If I can finish this one… I’ll either write an extended version or another play which a friend of mine in the theatre department will approach a board of film people about and attempt to get a job directing it in the university’s theatre. Woo!

Both plays (full-length) were written while I was in college…The first was written in about two weeks as an entry into a local playwrighting contest as part of the Kennedy Center’s Fund for New American Plays for the 1995 grant…my play was selected by a local theater and sent with their nomination to Washington, DC to compete at the national level…Rita Dove, the US poet laureate at the time, was one of the eventual grant recipients.

The second play was written as part of my senior project.

Next I’ll need to write a good play!
