Right now I am working on a very special Dr. Who scarf for a very special guy. This thing will be huge, and I have no idea when it will be done. I think it’s too much to hope for to have it done by our anniversary, but eventually… In the mean time he’s encouraging me to get back into papercrafting and wants me to make him cool stuff. Nice to have a good motivator.
I can draw!
It’s a wow because all my life I was sure I can’t even draw a circle right. And now I’ve discovered that I can draw all right, and it’s FUN!
I have always envied a little those who had this drawing talent, and I was sorry I didn’t have it. So guess what – I have.
I think that everyone has it somewhere, you just have to dump those old stereotypes that tell you that you can’t.
So drawing is a kind of craft : )
I’m working on crafts every day these days, and I see this continuing for a VERY long time at this moment. So I consider this as done!!!
I have unearthed all the aforementioned half completed porcelain dolls and was stunned – there were dolls I don’t even remember making!I also dragged out my fabric stash and patterns, and am good to go. Also joined a knitting for charity group to use up my yarn stash!

i really need to do more than 2 rows a few evenings a week if i expect to finish this blanket in time for winter.
i definitely need to improve my knitting and embroider/papier-mache/etc more. i want to make t shirts. i want to plush. i need to do art in general, and i think a lot of crafting is under appreciated as a medium for the visual arts. i look at stuff like bjork wore for a lot of her volta photoshoots and it’s absolutely inspiring

i’ve been much better at realising my ideas recently.
– i followed up an XMAS idea and created a dozen little stocking decorations – some to keep some to give away
– i finally got around to creating that birthday card for a friend
– i made my love’s valentines card and he asked if i’d bought it so that was a success :0)
– i made my mum’s mothers day card
– i decided to create a little embroidery and did it. off the top of my head. wow. and its cute.
- i painted an Eostre egg – with a hare, a leafy vine, some runes and a quotation.
so it’s not too regualr, but i am finding the confidence to try!
Cass is planning out a schedule
Started knitting with knitting needles, and with the Knifty Knitter; also will be learning to quilt from my MIL.

crocheting same blanket for middle girl. it’s taking longer than i had anticipated but it looks great and the process is becoming a sort of meditation. not bad.

normally i would have put the blanket aside one night never to pick it up again, but this time i find myself looking forward to our tv and crocheting time. it’s going quite well. got a great book on new crochet stitches and am already thinking of the blanket i’m going to make for my oldest daughter who has more opinions on the matter.
i also ordered a sewing book so that i can get on my sewing machine and learn to make my little ladies rockin summer frocks. maybe i’ll even get good enough to make some clothes for myself.
