convert TiVo shows to DVD

I’ve been trying to get my Tivo files to burn onto DVD. I’m using VideoReDo TV Suite to take out the commercials and make the files into .mpg files, but I get hung up when trying to use any program to convert them to .iso so I can burn them to a dvd. Every program I’ve tried has failed (Sonic Media Creator 9, among others). What am I doing wrong?

Well, that’s just going to have to be good enough. Once I get them on my iPod, I don’t have a need to get the stuff on DVD if I hook my iPod up to my TV. Time consuming, but I’m glad to be able to watch Mythbusters whenever the time feels right. :)

i can get TiVO-to-go to work on my PC laptop (which does not have a DVD burner), but how can I get this to work on my mac, which DOES have a DVD burner?! TiVO is not mac-friendly at all! :( I’m sure there’s a way to get it to work, I just have to figure out how! Any ideas?!

You have to have software from Sonic – make sure you get the right version or it won’t convert the .tivo files. The process of downloading from TiVo to the computer and then the conversion to DVD takes FAR longer than the amount of time it takes to watch the show. But I usually set it up before I go to bed and let it do it’s thing while I sleep.

We just got the Tivo home media network connected and are interested in how to convert the files.
