I finished the book. Very good and it’s taught me a lot. I personally like theology, even though I’m a teenager, and I love C.S. Lewis, so this was something I’d been wanting to read for a long time. I encourage you all in your reading!

This is a great book. I recommned buying your own copy (Paperback at Barnes and Noble for about $10 or $11) and writing in it. I have drawn pictures in mine about the imagery he uses. :)

I started...again 2 years ago

I’m reading it for the second time all the way through. I’m on chapter 6 now (book 2, chapter 1 actually). I’ve read parts of it a number of times, but from cover to cover only once. It is such a good book. I find myself referring to it a lot.

great book, take notes on things that jump out at you.

very worthwhile 2 years ago

This book has lots of good things to say. So much that I’m considering reading it again soon and taking notes this time in order to get more out of it.

Nobody 2 years ago

Nobody showed up for the book group tonight – okay just the person leading the group. Our conversation was a more general discussion of C S Lewis and then went into other things.

I don’t think anyone is really grooving on C S Lewis right now. ARGH !

Great Book 2 years ago

One of C.S. Lewis’s great books, Mere Christianity is jam-packed full of logical and biblical arguments proving different truths like the nature of Man, of God, and explains a lot of basic Christianity’s answers to the world and it’s problems.

Reading Aloud 2 years ago

As “Mere Christianity” started as a series of radio talks I thought it might be interesting to use a small part of the book for one of my Toastmaster “reading aloud” projects. Just trying to figure out what segment of C.S. Lewis’ work I want to include is the hard part.
