build a porch

Well, no porch for a while. But I’ll have it one day. I’m gonna sit and sip iced tea in the afternoons after my 1/2 day of work and dream about the world on that porch.

Building a porch will allow me to follow up on many of the other goals in this list: enjoy the mornings, drink more tea, read more, etc. etc.

Not in 2006.

While on our FL vacation last week, I was attempting to entertain little Dash, who never stops moving. We were at a restaurant and after wandering circuits around the interior (and hopefully without irritating the other patrons too much) I discovered the porch swing! While it had a very short arc, due to placement too close to a railing, careful swinging resulted in delighted smiles from Dash! Entertainment value = High.

They started on their porch project earlier this Spring and it’s looking so lovely! The builder is also a neighbor and he’s very good. If we want our porch for next year, we ought to get on his schedule now…
