damn waste of time. i ripped all my CDs onto my laptop, which alphabetizes everything for me. THAT was time-consuming, but much more worthwhile than a perfect CD tower.

The year’s almost halfway over and I still haven’t done it!
I used to have my CD collection perfectly alphabetized and in chronological order of release if I had more than one CD of a particular artist. Then there was an earthquake, and my CD case fell over and my CDs got out of order. I gave up. Also, I’ve moved several times and they have gotten progressively more messed up. I own over 800 CDs, so I’ve really got my work cut out for me. I’ll do it, though! I will!

Did this last night… and found out I have 250 cds. :D
I finally organized all my music cd’s and it is great!
I purchased four leather cases that hold about 200 to 300 cds. Big lots have the cases for about $16.00 apiece! I used two folders for all cds with one artist or group. The other two I divided into these groups: mixed cd’s, soundtracks, children’s, classical, inspirational/mood music/instrumentals, and other.
On the plastic part in from of each CD, I used a labeler and put the name of the album in alphabetical order. Not only is finding my favorite CD easier, but also lugging a folder around is a lot easier then all those cases.
It also makes it easy for the entire family to share music. Each child has there own small case to keep cds in until they are finished.
It felt really good. Sorted by artist and release date of album. Bonus points if you orient all of the CDs themselves inside the jewel case so that when you open it up, it’s perfectly aligned.
Cheers ;)

all is good. Everything is ordered and I will hopefully never have trouble finding a certain CD again.

I must do this because I have trouble locating certain CDs as some have similar sides.

Kim’s CD collection and mine are now indistinguishable. We’re bonded for life now. Yay!
