So far I’ve mainly been taking short walks and doing a few different strengthening exercises on the four days of the week I choose to exercise. Now that it’s warming up, I’m going to step it up a little and try to run two days a week. The other two days I’m going to try to dance for at least 45 minutes. We’ll see how it goes.

I also never stand still—if I’m up and waiting for lunch to warm, or coffee to brew, or seeing what’s on TV in the kitchen, I’m kicking or running in place or using some small hand weights I keep available. I feel I have to, because I sit so long both painting and writing. Movement restores my energy.
