noura007 is really tired
I’m gonna live in my yacht
fourkeeps is getting things done, not slacking
I can’t wait to own a yacht.
Living in luxury aboard a 100’ vessel, with a private chef, family, and visitors and fellow travelers!
always dreamt of cruising in te caribbean sea. going form place to place. the ocean around you. fun with friends while having your house with you.
I found the way. As I can not sail. what els can I do that own a motoryacht. needs enough space for me and my guests. so i think this one would suffice (Fairline Squadron 55). Now I need to get the money. Any ideas??
I love “her” but I hate “her” as well. We have a 45’ Columbia and she’s a lot of work. And I mean A LOT. Then theres the cost of the marina, the insurance, the fuel for the engine and generator (when we arent sailing, she has a diesel engine). The heads need to be replaced, the mosquitos are a problem, I have a son who gets seasick, and then theres Florida—a great big hurricane pain!
BUT, the opposite is true when you’re aboard her there’s no other feeling in the world.
sixfootdoll gripping the steering wheel of my life.
We’d escape in the summertime, blast our music all day and nite knowing no one’s gonna knock on our door to shut us up. Throw parties at sunset, sit in peace and serenity at sunrise….
I first bought one to beat the high price of housing in San Francisco during the dot bomb madness. I lived aboard and got good at single handing her on SF bay. Now I live near Seattle and still have her.
She has a LOT of brightwork (varnished wood) and requires a couple week’s work to freshen every spring, but its worth it. I particularly love it when people walking by just can’t stop looking at here. Plus she sails like a dream.
A boat is a lot of work, and something of a financial drain. If you like working on stuff, then you’ll probably like it. If you just want a flashy vehicle, get a sports car.
